Caeleste pakte in 2020 de Leeuw van de Export mee naar huis in de categorie ‘Bedrijven met max. 49 medewerkers’. Dit Mechelse bedrijf ontwikkelt beeldsensoren die hun toepassing vinden in de medische en biomedische beeldvorming, de ruimtevaart en tal van industriële applicaties. Caeleste is een wereldtopper in zijn vakgebied en werkt in samenwerking met de klant aan innoverende projecten. Hoewel de samenwerking van op afstand het afgelopen jaar een uitdaging was, is dit niet terug te zien in de exportcijfers. CEO Geert De Peuter: “We groeiden fors in de medische en industriële sectoren en tegelijk hield ruimtevaart mooi stand .”
Caeleste was the winner of the 2020 edition Export Lion awards in the category: Companies with max. 49 employees. The Belgian company from Mechelen develops image sensors for medical, space and industrial imaging. Caeleste is internationally successful in the image sensor industry and partners up with customers to work on innovating projects. Although remote collaboration has been a challenge over the past year, this is not reflected in the export figures. CEO Geert De Peuter: “We grew strongly in the medical and industrial sectors, while at the same time space projects held up nicely”
