Bart Dierickx (CTO and Founder of Caeleste) hosted several presentations in secondary schools to introduce the young minds to the wonderful world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). This was part of the “Ondernemers voor de klas” initiative of VLAJO*
Despite increasing attention to STEM education worldwide, there is considerable uncertainty as to what constitutes STEM education and what it means in terms of curriculum and student outcomes. The purpose of these presentations is to show kids in an interactive way that STEM education is driven by problem-solving, creativity and discovery.
