Job Title: Business Development & Sales Office Leader

The main goal of this position is to develop, implement & execute a strong Account Management and Business Development strategy that ensures continuity and long-term growth. In this role you are a member of the Caeleste management team and report directly to the CEO. You are responsible for Business Development & Sales, Account & Contract Management & Marketing.

Your responsibilities & mandates

  • You are the end-responsible for your team’s activities:
  • Screen & evaluate (new) business opportunities on their financial profitability
  • Perform analysis on image sensor customers, research market trends and market developments
  • Represent Caeleste at relevant industry events, fairs and conferences
  • Define and implement multi-year sales, marketing and branding programs
  • To achieve this, you will:
  • Manage your team of business development managers in Mechelen as well as a group of sales representatives around the globe
  • Report sales forecasts to the management team and board of directors, while formulating business advice and recommendations for relevant actions
  • Your focus is on long-term Strategic Account & Contract Management:
  • You are Caeleste’s role-model for building long-term relationships with key customers
  • You actively support customer successes by ensuring that Caeleste’s roadmap is in line with future customer needs
  • You grow & share business intelligence and translate this into strategic recommendations
  • You own the contractual negotiations with customers and partners

Job specific requirements

  • Master’s degree in electronics or physics
  • Relevant experience in technical sales or business development in high-tech with custom-oriented scope
  • Committed team player who takes ownership of relevant strategic responsibilities and team leadership
  • Comfortable to take up your executive level mandate inside the company and in front of the customer
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills in English
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to travel globally (estimated travel percentage between 10-30%)

Leadership skills

You have a demonstrated ability to define, delegate, oversee and prioritize your team members’ activities in view of strategic short & long-term needs, team skills and available resources. You continuously coach and support your team members and evaluate team performance.

Additional skills as a plus

  • Experience and/or knowledge of the global image sensor market is a plus
  • Proven knowledge in the areas of CMOS technology, digital and analog design, test electronics, electrooptical instrumentation, photonics, etc. – either through scientific or technical experience or through technical sales or business development in the area
